Boarding for all animals is charged as a half or a full day. The cut off time is 1pm.

Drop-off: A full day of boarding will be charged if the animal enters the boarding facility between 7:30am and 1pm. A half-day will be charged if the animal is checked in after 1pm.
Pick-up: Animals that are picked up before 1pm will be charged a half day of boarding. Animals picked up after 1pm and animals picked up on Sunday will be charged a full day of boarding.

We have an enclosed boarding facility attached to the hospital, which was created for your pets’ comfort. Whether their stay is just for one night or for weeks at a time, the personal attention your pets will receive is unmatched in the St. Louis area!

Guests are monitored daily by phase-trained team members to ensure their comfort during their stay. Appetite, attitude, and elimination of urine and stool are noted and the doctors on staff address health issues. As always, routine medications are given at no additional charge to you, a benefit rarely offered by most boarding facilities. Pets with diabetes or other chronic diseases are closely monitored and clients are contacted at the earliest detection of any health concern.

Accommodations for cats include modern, beautiful, and comfortable multilevel condos. The resting shelves allow cats to change their perspective throughout the day, increasing their enjoyment and interest. Cat owners can elect to have portals between the condos opened connecting up to three condos and allowing for true luxury living. We have two dog rooms, a separate cat room, and a separate rabbit and exotic room.

Kennel Health and Safety - For the health and safety of our guests, we require that each boarding pet is current on his or her annual wellness examination and has been examined by a CCAH veterinarian at least once. All cats must be current on their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines and all dogs must be current on their DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. Additionally, all dogs must be receiving a monthly heartworm preventative to prevent common intestinal worms. Similarly, all dogs must be receiving some form of monthly flea prevention and must pass a flea-comb exam at the time of drop-off. These measures are in place to ensure that your pets are staying in a safe and healthy environment.

Environmental Enrichments - In addition to providing a safe and healthy environment for your pets, we want your canine and feline family members to have fun! We offer TLC programs for cats and dogs and Mid-Day Group Play for dogs. Additionally, we provide environmental enrichments for all of our pet guests. These include blankets, Kongs, Kong Wobblers, Kong Treat Cubes, and balls. Dogs listen to music programs designed specifically for the canine auditory range and cats watch videos specifically designed to peak feline interests. These videos “star” gerbils, birds, fish, and the sounds of the great outdoors. Cats stay in multi-level condos so they can change their vantage point throughout the day. Also, cat owners can elect to open portals in adjoining condos so their favorite feline can really live in the spacious lap of luxury. Finally, in addition to our state-of-the-art ventilation system which continuously replenishes the kennel with fresh outside air, we also spritz the kennel with a different pleasing scent daily, to contribute to a changing and interesting environment for our pet guests.

The TLC Program - Cats participating in TLC watch a special video during the day, enjoy a daily treat, interact one-on-one with staff, and take home a journal of their stay and a photo keepsake. Additional $3.00/day.
